Credit Card/Debit Card Service Fees

Pay your tax bill online using a credit or debit card.  Acceptable credit cards include American Express, Discover, Visa and Mastercard. A single blended service fee of 2.25% applies to all credit and debit card payments, with a minimum charge of $1.50. This fee is charged by the credit card processor and the County of Orange does not receive any portion of this fee or benefit in any way from the fee. Retain the payment receipt from the website by writing it down, taking a photo or a screen shot, or keeping your confirmation email as proof of timely payment. If a confirmation receipt number is not provided, the online payment was not processed. Payments processed through the Tax Collector’s authorized website on or before 11:59 p.m. PT on the due date will be considered timely.

For example, if your tax amount is $500.00, the total charge to the credit card is computed as follows:

=$511.25Total Amount to Pay
