Join us for these upcoming Identity Theft Awareness Week events!

Today begins Identity Theft Awareness Week (IDTAW) 2025, and we hope you'll join us during some of the events planned for this week. IDTAW is an excellent opportunity to learn and talk about identity theft and raise awareness to help protect yourself, your family, and your friends.
During IDTAW, the FTC and its partners work together to share information on what identity thieves want to steal and why, understand how identity theft happens, and learn how to avoid it. Identity theft can happen to anyone, but there are things you can do to reduce the chance that someone will steal your identity.
This week, help spread the word about identity theft!
- Join one of the events listed below and at ftc.gov/IDTheftWeek
- Share social media images to engage others in the conversation (use the hashtags #IDTheftWeek and #IDTheft)
- View and share videos on identity theft with your community and network.

Wednesday, January 29 – 12 PM ET
